Fried rice Ingredients for rice 2 cups rice 1T-sp sesame oil 1T-sp stock powder 2 ½ cups cold water Method for rice 1. Wash rice thoroughly till water runs clear 2. Place rice, water and sesame oil in a large saucepan with a tight fitting lid 3. Bring to the boil without lid 4. Stir with a fork and let boil 1 minute 5. Turn heat down as far as possible put on lid and simmer 10 minutes 6. Take off the heat and let sit a further 10 minutes with lid on. NOTE: It is extremely important not to remove the lid at any stage during the 20 minutes. Ingredients for fried rice Diced onions or chopped spring onion Diced ham or bacon Champignons pieces and stems Peas cooked Chopped capsicum 1T-sp chopped garlic Oil for stir-frying soy sauce Method for fried rice 1. Heat oil in wok and add onion, bacon and garlic, stir-fry 1 minute or till just cooked. 2. Add to the wok champignons, capsicum and peas and stir-fry 1 more minute, and then remove wok from heat. 3. Add rice to wok and mix in well breaking up rice as you go. 4. Season with soy sauce and serve

what is capsicum? and does the rice need to be cool before you start?
