Hi homemade, Bisquick is a commercially packaged buttermilk baking mix. The two leading brand names we look for are Bisquick and Jiffy. I have found a place where you can join a Yahoo Group that sends a newsletter with all kinds of recipes for a homemade version (ha ha ha ) with several variations of the basics as well as recipes to use them for. You might want to give it a look over. groups.yahoo.com/group/bisquickandlikemixesRecipies/Also, Nancy has posted a recipe for homemade bisquick for people who are unable to purchase the mix. (see below) BISQUICK MIX 8 Cups Flour 1 1/4 Cups Nonfat Dry Milk Powder 1/4 Cup Baking Powder 1 Tablespoon Salt 2 Cups Shortening Combine flour, milk, baking powder, and salt in a very large bowl. Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Store in tightly closed covered container in a cool place. Makes about 10 cups. www.nancyskitchen.com/recipe_data.asp?Name=BISQUICK+MIXNancy's Kitchen 1/1/2001 SAD CAKE 2 c. Brown sugar 2 c. Bisquick 4 Eggs, well beaten 1 c. Angel flake coconut 1 c. Nuts Blend together the brown sugar and Bisquick. Add the eggs, coconut and the nuts. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch cake pan at 350ยบ for 40 minutes. Cut into squares like brownies. NOTE: The cake will fall in the middle. Enjoy, Shortcake p.s. I'm glad you decided to join in the fun. Your posts keep things pretty lively around here!! ;D

Hi there. I used to live in Saudi and found aa great cookbook called Make A Mix Cooking. It had a great recipe for making Bisquick at home. I'm looking for a particular Bisquick Recipe that made Piroshki out of Spam and Bisquick. Haven't made it for years but would appreciate it if anyone has it. Denise
