This may be “fudgier” than you want, but for almost everyone who has it, it is the ultimate chocolate dessert. It definitely serves 8 because it is soooo rich.
Chocolate Chess Pie
1 9” pie shell, unbaked 1-1/2 cups sugar 1 Tbsp flour 3 Tbsp cocoa 1/4 cup butter, melted 2 eggs, slightly beaten pinch of salt 1 (5.33 ounce) can evaporated milk 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, and butter. Stir well. Add eggs and beat with mixer for 2½ minutes. Add salt, milk, and vanilla. Mix in. Pour filling into pie shell. Sprinkle pecans on top. Bake for 35-45 minutes.
