Chocolate Chip Mayonnaise Cake
2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 2 teaspoons baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup mayonnaise 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. In a large bowl mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the water, vanilla and the mayonnaise. Mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour batter into the pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool. Frost as desired.
