Peach Cobbler Presented by Becky Low
"This recipe comes from Becky Low's neighbor Cindy Hilton. It is easy and very tasty. "
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 can (29 oz.) sliced peaches (1 quart)
nutmeg
vanilla ice cream
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Melt butter in a 9x13 baking pan.
Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, milk, vanilla, and almond extract. Beat until smooth. Batter will be thin. Pour batter over melted butter. Drain peaches and arrange slices on top of batter. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 3500 F for 35-55 minutes or until golden brown and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Serves 6-8
