Cookie Cobbler 4-1/2 to 5 cups fresh fruit of your choice 1/4 cup of sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (can use apple pie spice) 1/2 cup white Karo syrup 17 ounce package refrigerator sugar cookie dough Place fruit in greased 8 inch square baking dish. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. gradually stir in syrup until smooth. Pour over fruit and toss to coat. Cut cookie dough in 1/4 inch thick slices, and arrange in rows on top of fruit. Bake at 350ยบ for 1 hour or until golden brown. Serve warm or cool with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired. Jay

This sounds really good. Unfortunately I can't get refrigerated cookie dough over here, could I just use homemade cookie dough?

Hi .I haven't made this one yet,but I don't see why you couldn't make your own sugar cookie recipe. Should come out the same.Buying it already made is for short cut people like me I guess. lol. Anyway enjoy !! Jay
