My son has just began to eat baby food and it tastes awful. I was going to start making his food but I have many questions. First questions are about storage........
What is the best way to store baby food? Can it be stored in the baby food jars that I already have? If I put it in the baby food jars should it be kept in the refrigerator or the freezer? How long can it be stored in the refrigerator? How long can it be store in the freezer? Any tips about storage?
Thanks in advance to all those that reply.

I freeze babyfood in the Ziploc containers. When the kids were first starting to eat solids, I froze individual poached and pureed veggies and fruits in ice cube trays, then stored the cubes in freezer bags. I believe the storage guideline and 1-2 months, but mine has never lasted that long. I have read babyfood can be refrigerated up to three days, but throw away any portions you have feed him from--salvia goes from the spoon into the food and causes it to start to breakdown. Good luck! I have found making babyfood doesn't take much extra time, and it is certainly worth the effort.
