2 eggs 1 c. cream 2 to 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. soda 2 tbl. sugar 1 tsp. salt
Beat eggs and add cream. Combine 2 c. flour with baking powder, soda, sugar and salt. Mix into cream mixture. Add enough flour to make a workable dough. Roll our dough; cut into 3 x 5" strips. Cut slit lengthwise to within about 1" from each end. Fry in deep hot fat until golden on each side. Drain on paper toweling. Sprinkle with sugar or frost. May be frozen. Good heated in microwave later. This recipe is approximately 100 years old.
