Hello!
We just received permission from Land O' Lakes web site to post from their recipes!!!!!!!! ;D However, the rules are to link back to them with each recipe, as with all the other sites.
We are surely getting lots of those manufacturers to allow us to post from them! I still have to hear back from Smuckers, I Love Cheese and Del Monte sites. I will check with some others, too.

Just a quick note to everyone:
We are NOT allowed to post any recipes from Emeril or Mr. Food. They are copywrited and refuse to grant anyone to post them anywhere. Please refrain from posting any of their recipes! I have just gone in and deleted all posts with their recipes.
Thank you very much!

Nancy hope hurricane Dolly hasn't caused you too many problems.
I recently bought a cookery book by Orlando Murrin 'A Table in the Tarn'. It's one of those books that's full of so many great recipes it is hard to decide which one you want to try. Plus the trials and tribulations of starting a new life in a new country.
The author used to be editor of BBC Good Food magazine, he was the launch editor of BBC Olive and has written three other books - which I haven't got room for. Please don't tell me that you have them and they are good.
The reason for all this is there are some wonderful original recipes that our members would really enjoy, but I do not know the rules of copyright.
I have contacted Harper and Collins but as yet have had no reply. I have tried to contact the author but to no avail.
I have tried quite a few of his great recipes and would dearly love to share his Pine nut and rosemary cookies but don't want to infringe any laws. Great recipe for getting the young uns into adult - grown-up cookies.
Can you advise me what the proper procedure is or point me in the right direction?

Sylvia, the only thing I could advise you on now, till you hear from the publishing company, is if someone would like one of your recipes from the book, you could send it, privately, via email. Nothing can be posted anywhere or copied for mass reading till you have permission.
Good luck! Chris

Hi Chris,
Suppose our readers will just have to wait or maybe even find and buy a copy of 'A Table in the Tarn' for themselves.
I thought a back door entry - would be to book a holiday at Le Manoir De Raynaudes - haven't seen the Pyrenees in a while. Might just have to have a word with the resident bank manager. Haven't met a British man yet refuse to help you with what they are good at.
I could do with a bit of Nancy's clout on this occasion.

Good luck! Most sites and/or books either will or won't let anyone use their matieral without written permission, and then with provisions, as stated in the above posts.

I have had a request by www.recipezaar.com/ and www.allrecipes.com to post no more than 10 recipes a year from their site. I have a request from recipes.robbiehaf.com/ to not post any of their recipes on the site. We may post a link to a recipe on their sites. These requests were due to the search engines penalizing duplicate content on sites. Nancy Rogers
