Turkey Swiss Melt 2 Cups COOKED TURKEY chopped 1 Stalk celery diced 1/2 Medium Granny Smith apple unpeeled, cored, diced 1/3 Cup mayonnaise 1-1/4 Cups Swiss cheese shredded 1/4 Cup pecans coarsely chopped 1/4 Cup onion minced *salt and pepper to your own taste 6 Large Slices dark rye bread
Directions: In a medium bowl, mix together turkey, celery, apple, mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of cheese, pecans and onion. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly toast bread and place on baking sheet. Immediately spoon turkey mixture over the bread. Top with remaining cheese. Broil until cheese bubbles. Makes 6 open-face sandwiches.
