there is no hurry to answer this one, but I was just wondering why some people have stars beside their names and others don't
If this goes by the number of times you talk/act on this site, how many acts/answers/questions do you need? What are the criteria or is there any.
Just wondering

Hi Micheline,
As you can see, as a new member you have one star. I am a senior member, so have 4 stars. The next step for you is junior member and that is 2 stars. Full member is 3 stars. I believe I became a senior member when I had over 300 posts. Yes, the amount of stars tells what stage you are. A few of our members have 5 stars. Moderators have 5 stars on their respective areas but they are a different color than the others. Hope this helps!

So, I take it that the number of postings has nothing to do with it right?

Hi Micheline,
Yes, the number of postings has all to do with it. I believe you are getting close to being a junior member with the number of your postings.
