In regards to a rice pudding recipe submitted on your site, what does bake for 3 hours in a slow oven mean? Would love to try the recipe. Thanks, Anita

Back in the day (when there were no ovens with temp guides) a slow oven was what we would call today as low oven temp around 200 or at least under 300 degrees. A fast oven means high temperature 400 and up. Usually, anything baked in a slow oven would be placed in the back where the wood/coal was not that hot,but hot enough to bake slowly.
