2 pounds round steak sliced across grain 1/4 " thick 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 16 cloves finely chopped garlic 1 teaspoon fresh chives
Mix all ingredients except steak. Pour the mixture over the meat in a shallow dish. Stir well. Marinate overnight. Remove the meat and blot with paper towels. Dry touroughly in a dehydrator (about 12 hours). Seal tightly and keep in a cool, dry place.
