I make as similar recipe using rye bread crumbs in the mixture for extra "German" flavor. (I always roll them in white bread crumbs because the rye ones get to dark when fried). This is a great recipe that German food lovers should try!! Thanks for sharing this one! Think I'll stir up a batch and have a mini Octoberfest this weekend.
