These delicious little biscuits are cheap and easy to make.
Oat Crunch Biscuits
Makes 12 Preheat oven to 190oC/375oF
4 1/2ozs/125g porridge oats 4 ozs/110g butter 3 ozs/75g demerara sugar
Butter a shallow baking tin.
Melt the butter without browning then mix with the sugar and oats in a mixing bowl and mix until all the ingredients are well mixed.
Press the mixture into the baking tin and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until a nice pale golden colour.
Remove from the oven and cut into 12 portions - leave until quite cold and crisp before removing from the baking tin.
These crunchies store well in an airtight container.
