These are by far "the best" chicken wings I've ever had. I subbed apple juice for the bourbon, and these tasted great!
Bourbon Chicken Wings
16 frozen chicken wings (See *Note) vegetable oil cooking spray 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup bourbon (or apple juice) 2 tablespoons ketchup
Lightly coat large non-stick skillet with cooking spray.
Place frozen wings in a single layer in the prepared skillet.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pour mixture evenly over chicken.
Cover skillet, and cook over medium heat 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink inside; turning wings often to prevent them from sticking to skillet.
Makes: 4 servings
*Note: I did not use frozen wings. I used thawed wings and drumettes; exactly 2 pounds of each, a total of 12 wings, which you'll get more than 4 servings. The first time I cooked these, they were done within 18 minutes. The second time I cooked these, they were done within 16 minutes. For those who enjoy eating wings and are making these for the first time, be sure to have enough wings and sauce on hand; because this recipe will leave you craving for more.
