This is an easy to prepare starter. A good choice when your main course and dessert need a lot of your attention.
Prawn Sizzle
Serves 4
2 - 3 chillies 5 tbsp olive oil 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 20 large raw prawns in the shell Salt & black pepper Crusty bread to serve Wedges of lemon
Split the chillies lengthways and discard the seeds. Wear rubber gloves. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan and stir fry the chilli and garlic for 1 minute or until the garlic is just coloured.
Add the whole prawns and stir fry for 3 - 4 minutes ensuring they are well coated with the flavoured oil. Taste and season as required.
Remove from heat and place into a serving dish. Drizzle with the remaining oil and serve immediately with lemon wedges and chunks of crusty bread.
