Some time ago I treated myself to a very expensive vase of artificial (very realistic) lillies. They are in a solid gel, my difficulty is getting down to the top of the gel and the lily stems to keep them clean. I don't know whether I could use any water based solution??? There's not enough room to get my hand down far enough to clean with a duster. I have used a long-handled artist brush, but it's long and monotonous.
Any ideas??

I had a wee chuckle on reading this - my vase of artificial lillies still has pride of place on my hall windowsill and still gets comments and admiration after all this time. I did discover that using Rubbing Alcohol on the end of a long handled brush does pick up most of the dust. Once every 3 months I squirt some mild dishwashing liquid into it and place it under the shower in the wet room on tepid and just let it run until clear, polish up the glass outer and it's as good as the day I bought it all them years ago. I invariable have fresh lillies in a vase in another part of the hall, so it seems that the fragrance is coming from the artificial ones. Believe it or not I've never been a fan of artificial greenery of any description! LOL
