Brownie Mix #1

Recipe to attach to jar:
Additional ingredients needed: 3/4 c. melted butter 4 eggs, beaten
Empty brownie mix in large mixing bowl; stir to combine. Add melted butter & eggs.Mix until completely blended. Spread batter in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan. Cut into 2-inch squares. Yield: 2 dozen.

Sugar Cookies
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/4 cups white sugar 1/4 cup colored decorating sugar 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Combine flour, salt and baking powder and stir well. Place flour mixture in a clean mason jar. Pack down tight so everything will fit in the jar. (Use a spoon or a mallet.) Stir sugar and colored sugar together and add to the jar. 2. Put the lid on the jar and tie a ribbon around the lid. You can add a personalized label, if you wish. As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid with a piece of ribbon. 3. Print out the following instructions on a gift card and tape the card to the jar:
Whip 2/3 cup of butter or shortening until light and fluffy. Add 2 eggs, 2 Tbsp. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla and beat until mixed. Stir in the ingredients from this jar until well combined. Roll into small balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork or the bottom of a glass. Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees F. Share with a friend.

Butterscotch brownie mix in a jar
1/2 cup flaked coconut 1/2 cup white sugar 2 cups packed brown sugar 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions: Mix together flour, salt and baking powder. Set asideLayer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart sized wide mouth canning jar. Add flour mixture last. Press each layer firmly in place.
Attach this message to jar: Butterscotch Brownies 1. Empty jar of brownie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix. 2. Add: 3/4 cup butter or margarine,softened at room temperature. DO NOT USE DIET MARGARINE. Mix in 2 eggs, slightly beaten and 2 teaspoons vanilla. 3. Mix until completely blended. 4. Spread batter into a sprayed 9 x 13 inch metal pan. 5. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 25 minutes. Cool 15 minutes in baking pan. Cut brownies into 1 1/2 inch squares. Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix
1 cup all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup raisins 2 cups quick cooking oats
In a bowl, mix together the flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. set aside.
In a 1 quart canning jar (or jar of your choice) layer the following: brown sugar white sugar raisins oats top with the flour mixture.
to prepare cookies: In a mixing bowl, cream 3/4 cup soft margerine. Beat in one egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Add the cookie mix and mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2" apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees fo 9 - 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes and remove from pan to a wire rack. yeild - 5 dozen per batch.
Each jar makes one batch. This can be stored for up to 6 months.

Chocolate Pecan Chewies
Layer in the order given in a wide mouth 1 quart canning jar or in a jar of your choice.
1 cup sugar 1/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 cup chopped Pecans 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour mixed with 1 teaspoon baking soda.
to prepare cookies:
Empty cookie mix into a large bowl, mix thoroughly.
ADD:
1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter or margerine softened 1 egg slightly beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix until completely blended, you may want to use your hands as this works best. Shape the dough into balls the size of walnuts. lace 2" apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes cool 5 minutes before removing from the baking sheets.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
This mix makes 14 cups of mix and will make 2 batches of cookies with about 6 dozen cookies per batch..
I keep it in a jar on hand for quick cookies. you may want to give it as a gift. I would put it in a large jar. you may store it for up to 6 months.
4 1/2 cups of all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups brown sugar packed 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 2 cups of shortening 2 cups of chopped pecans or walnuts 2-12 oz packages of chocolate chips
In a large bowl mix the first 5 ingrediants. cut in the shortening until the mixture looks crumbly then stir in the nuts and chocolate chips.
to make a batch of cookies: In a large mixing bowl beat 2 eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Stir in 7 cups of cookie mix until well blended. (If the dough seems dry add 1-2 tablespoons of water) Drop by teaspoons 2" apart on greased baking sheets. bake at 375 degrees 7-9 minutes.

Black + White Chipper Cookies
1/3 c sugar 1/3 c packed brown sugar 1/3 c quick oats 2/3 c flour mixed with 1 tsp baking powder 2Tbsp chopped pecans 2Tbsp M&M's 1/3 c rice krispies 1/4 c chocolate chips 1/4 c white chips
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 pint wide mouth Ball canning jar, using your hand when necessary to level. Press all firmly to fit. Mixture will just fill jar. Place lid on and add recipe card with instructions.
Place mix into large bowl, and blend dry mix together with your hands until blended. Add 1 egg(beaten) and 1/2 c butter flavor shortening to mix. Shape dough into walnut size balls. 2" apart on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake 350 for 10-12 minutes. Makes 24 cookies.

Chocolate Chip Fudge Cookie Mix
1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/4 cups rolled oats 1 chocolate bar -- (5.5 ounce) 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1. Dry ingredients are layered in a jar and given, along with directions, as a gift. Use a funnel that has a 2-inch opening, to layer nicely in jar. With wire whisk, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Pour into jar, pack down level with heavy object.
2. Mix oatmeal in a blender. Grate chocolate bar and mix into the oatmeal. Pack on top of flour in jar.
3. Add white sugar and pack down. Add brown sugar and pack down. Layer chopped nuts on top of brown sugar. Finish layering jar with mini or regular chocolate chips until even with the top (no more than 1/2 cup).
4. Use scissors to cut a 9 inch-diameter circle from calico. Place over lid and secure with rubber band. Tie on a raffia or ribbon bow to cover rubber band.
5. Label and store in a cool dry place away from a heat source so condensation and clumping does not occur.
6. Attach this recipe to the jar:
Chocolate Chip Fudge Cookie Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spoon chocolate chips and nuts into small bowl, set aside. Spoon brown and white sugar into mixing bowl. Add the following: 1/2 cup margarine or butter, cream well. Add: 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Mix well. Pour oatmeal and flour mixture from jar into bowl, mix thoroughly. Roll into walnut size balls, place on slightly greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 min.

Combine the next four ingredients together: 1 1/3 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt
Layer ingredients in order in a 1 quart, "wide mouth" canning jar. Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next ingredient. Decorate jar for gift giving and attach card with the following instructions: Cowboy Cookie Mix In A Jar empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix. Add 1 stick butter or margarine, melted, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until completely blended. You may need to finish mixing with your hands. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2 inches apart on sprayed baking sheets. Bake at 350ºF for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling.

Dreamsicle Cookie Mix
1/2 cup Tang instant breakfast drink powder 3/4 cup sugar 1-1/2 cups vanilla chips 1-3/4 cups flour mixed with 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. baking powder
.Layer ingredients in jar in order given. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.

Chewy Butterscotch Nut Bars #1
Place in order in a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar, or a jar of your choice.
1/2 cup butterscotch chips 1/2 cup pecan pieces toasted 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed 1 cup buttermilk baking mix 1/2 cup dark brown sugar packed 1 cup buttermilk baking mix
If there is extra room fill to the top with extra butterscotch chips or pecan pieces.
to prepare: Empty contents of the jar into a medium bowl. stir in 1 stick butter melted 1 large egg 1 teaspoon of vanilla
press into an 8x8x2" square baking pan that has been greased. bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
makes about 16 bars

Applesauce Cookie Mix in a Jar
2 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 c. raisins 1 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. chopped nuts
Use a one quart wide mouth canning jar. Pack each layer. Stir together the flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda and place into the jar. Pour in the raisins, spreading evenly in the jar. Next, add the brown sugar. Pour in the chopped nuts. If have some empty space, can place some plastic baggies to fill the space. Decorate your jar. Tie on a ribbon and attach the recipe tag to the jar.

Applesauce Cookies You will need: 3/4 c. butter or shortening 1 egg 1/2 c. applesauce Mix the butter by whipping it until light or fluffy. Next, add the egg and applesauce, beating it until mixed. Next the walnuts, then the mini baking bits, the raisins, the brown sugar, the other half cup of mini baking bits, and the oats. Seal and decorate the jar and add the recipe tag to the jar.
Party Cookie Mix You will need: 3/4 cup butter 1 large egg 3/4 tsp. vanilla large bowl In the large bowl, combine the butter, egg and vanilla until well blended. Pour in the jar contents and blend well. Roll into 1" balls and drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool.

1/4 C. milk chocolate chips 1/4 C. white chocolate or vanilla milk chips 1/4 C. semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 C. chopped walnuts, toasted and cooled* 1/2 C. dark brown sugar, packed 1 C. buttermilk biscuit baking mix 1/2 C. light brown sugar, packed firmly! 1 C. buttermilk biscuit baking mix *(You can toast the walnuts by putting them in the microwave on High for about 5 minutes, stirring every minute.)
Use a one quart, wide-mouth canning jar. Pack between layers. Pour in the white chocolate chips, then the milk chocolate chips, the semisweet chocolate chips, the toasted walnuts, the brown sugar, the buttermilk biscuit baking mix. Pour more semi-sweet chips to fill any left space. Seal and decorate the jar and attach t he recipe tag to the jar.
Chewy Chocolate Chip Bars You will need: 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 large egg 1 tsp. vanilla large bowl In a large bowl, pour contents of jar into it. Mix in the butter, egg and vanilla, stirring until well blended. Pour into an 8" square greased baking pan, spreading evenly in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes (bars should be light golden). Cool and cut.

2/3 cups of toffee chips 1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans* 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar 1 cup + 1 cup buttermilk biscuit baking mix, separated 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar *(toast the nuts in the microwave for 1-5 minutes, stirring every minute. Let cool completely.)

Into the jar, pour in the toffee chips, the toasted pecans, the dark brown sugar, 1 cup of the buttermilk biscuit baking mix, the light brown sugar, the other cup of buttermilk biscuit baking mix, and add more toffee chips or nuts to fill any space. Candy Cookie Mix
1/2 cup white granulated sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon powdered vanilla
Use a one quart, wide-mouth canning jar. Pack each layer. Mix the flour, baking soda and powdered vanilla together. Set aside. To the jar, add the white sugar, then the brown sugar, and then the flour mixture. Seal and decorate the jar, and attach the recipe tag to the jar.
Candy Cookies You will need: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 large egg 1 cup candybar chunks (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Butterfinger bars, or any chocolate bars)
Beat the butter in a large bowl until smooth. Add the egg and beat until combined. Pour in contents of jar and the candy bar chunks. Blend on low speed just until mixed in. Roll the dough into 1 to 1 1/2" balls and place 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges or golden. Cool.

Chewy Butterscotch Nut Bars #2
1/2 cup butterscotch chips 1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces* 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1 cup + 1 cup buttermilk biscuit baking mix, separated 1/2 cup extra dark brown sugar, packed *Toast the pecan pieces in microwave for 1-5 minutes, stirring every minute until toasted.

Chewy Butterscotch Nut Bars You will need: 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 large egg 1 tsp. vanilla large bowl Pour the contents from the jar in a large bowl. Add the butter, egg and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Dump into a greased 8" square pan, spreading dough mixture evenly. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 18-22 minutes, or until lightly golden. Cool.

1 C. shredded coconut 1/2 C. sliced toasted almonds* 1/2 C. packed dark brown sugar 1 C. buttermilk biscuit baking mix 1/2 C. packed light brown sugar 1 C. buttermilk biscuit baking mix * Toast the almonds in a microwave for 1-5 minutes, stirring every minute.

Add the butter, egg and vanilla, mixing the ingredients well. Roll into 1" balls and drop them onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.

Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookies Mix
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar 1 cup chocolate covered raisins 1/2 cup milk chocolate chip morsels 1 3/4 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Use a 1 quart, wide-mouth canning jar. Pack each layer. Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl and set aside. To the jar add the dark brown sugar, the chocolate covered raisins, the milk chocolate morsels, and the flour mixture. Add more milk chocolate morsels if any space is left. Seal and decorate the jar, and attach the recipe tag to the jar.
Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookies You will need: 1 cup of butter, softened 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 tsp. vanilla large bowl Pour the contents of the jar into a large bowl. Add the butter, egg, and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Roll into round balls and place onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12-15 minutes.

Cornflake Cookie Mix
1 1/4 cups white sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups coconut 1 1/2 cups cornflake cereal
Use a 1 quart, wide-mouth canning jar. Pack each layer. Combine the sugar and salt together and pour into the jar, next add the coconut, place the cereal WITHOUT packing. Seal and decorate the jar, and attach the recipe tag to the jar.
Cornflake Cookies You will need: 3 whipped egg whites 1/2 tsp. vanilla After whipping the eggs, add the vanilla and the jar contents and mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonsful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Cool.
