I need a buddy to e-mail on a somewhat daily basis to help keep me on track. I am good at giving support and advice, I just don't always follow my own words. I need to lose at least 75 pounds and would like to have a partner to work with along the way.

Hi Kim -- I'm a member of Weight Watchers, but haven't lost any weight. I need to lose 100 lbs, and have absolutely no help at home. My husband says he wants me to lose weight (he could stand to lose a few lbs, too),but continuously brings things in that he knows I can't resist. Or if I do say no, he gets this "nobody loves me" look on his face, so I give in and eat. And my daughter (40, thin, beautiful) brings donuts, sundaes, or cappuccino, she leaves it all there for me, and I stare at it till I eat it. There's no hope for me, I can't resist. I love to eat. Cillabill, Sorry it has taken me forever to respond to your post. The past few weeks have been busy with my kids being on Spring Break and my in-laws returning from their winter stay in Florida. I know exactly what you mean with your husband...mine is just the same. He just doesn't do a whole lot to help or motivate me. I think I am ready to really give this weight watcher stuff some real effort. I plan to really get with it tomorrow. Hopefully we can give each other the help we need. Good luck! Kim

Tootsnpa, I'm not sure if I am replying in the correct way. I also replied to Cillabill. I hope you will both get your messages. I have also been trying the weight watcher stuff for a long time. I refuse to pay the money anymore because the leader here just doesn't motivate me a whole lot. I keep trying at home, but feel as if I am getting nowhere. Perhaps I feel that way because the scales are going anywhere. I desperately want to lose this weight and i am really ready to get with it. Your 10 pound loss in a year is great, don't say it isn't good. Any weight lost is better than weight gained!! What kind of surgery are you going to have. Good luck! Kim

I too need to lose weight and would like to exchange recipes. I have 60 lbs. I want to lose and have lost 4.8 lbs. so far. Have only been going for 2 weeks. The hardest part is when you eat out knowing how many points to count. Just keep working at it and it will come naturally!!! My sister and I both joined. My lower back and legs hurt and the doctor said I would feel so much better. Have been walking also. Would like to hear from you.

Hello Ladies!
Good luck to you all. We can all use some help with losing weight!
One word of caution - why not exchange email addresses through the private messages? We have been keeping all email addys out of the public areas so as not to receive all kinds of junk email. There is a message (or two) to tell how to send a private message to members.
Just click on the name of the person you want to send a message to and you will be taken to their private page. Scroll down till you get to the part that says "send a private message". Click on that and you will be taken to a page similar to this one. You can send your message that way.
I have taken your email addresses out of your messages this morning. This is just to protect all of us!

Hi, I joined WW 3 weeks ago and have lost 10.2#. Hurray! I would like to loose about 30# so really need help and encouragement. My 2 daughters and a daughter-in-law are along on this weight loss journey (life change). I am also Type2 Diabetic so make things equally difficult. I've not done very well this week, even though I have been very care- ful. Guess after 4# last week it is discourging. Would love to hear from anyone and have some recipes mainly for entrees. Sandy

Hi ladies! So happy to find this site. I was just lookin' for a weight watchers recipe for brownies and up ya'll came!!YAY! :)I'm a 31 yr.old,married,stay-at-home mom of 4 kids, one on the way, they online school, and I've been doing ww for 2 mos. I did Suzanne Somers for about 3 yrs. before that. I did lose w/that but hit a peak and didn't move. My mom finally convinced me to try ww and I LOVE it! It's of course totally opposite of Sommersizing but I adjusted. Just when I hit another peak I found out we're expecting, so I'm not dying to LOSE as much as maintain and control my weight gain for the next 9 mos. I did Sommersizing w/my 4th pregnancy, only gained 26 lbs.(I usually gain 45)but I was ready for a change. My sis is trying Atkins,I tried to go back to support her but can't eat that way anymore.I have never officially joined ww because I can't afford it but do any of you lifetimers know what a person does with the last 10 naggin lbs? Do I cut back more on my pts.?Is it possible to cut down on carbs w/ww? Thnx for the info and it's good to be here! Hope to get to know lots of ya. Edie

HI all I am new to this list and I am also looking for a weight watchers buddy. I joined WW in January 2003 and lost 30lbs by Easter time. Then I fell and hurt my tail bone, and am just getting back around to getting back on track. I did well in the mean time, I only gained about 6lbs back. I am not going to go back to the meetings, but rather would like to find a buddy that I can email daily. If anyone is interested, email me at kimcamp@telusplanet.net Looking forward to hearing from you. Kim

Hi everyone!! Welcome kimcamp. I have lost 47.2 lbs. to date. Back when I first wrote everyone I had only lost a few pounds. Have been sticking to it, but now that I am almost at my goal (60 lbs) the weight is coming off a lot slower. What do you think of the new flexipoints? I can't get the hang of them. Our leader today told us that we MUST eat however many points we are allowed. She said that if you have one point left, that you need to find something to eat. Sometimes this is really hard!!! I walk 4 times a week and feel a lot better. I have a doctor's appointment the 1st of Oct. and am anxious to see what my doctor will say. Of course, their scales will weigh me more than mine. Later!!!

Hi Everyone MY name is Linda and i am 47 , started WW last April. Its really working great. Some imes i screw up, but i always try to get back on track as soon as i can. As far as doing this my self, i couldnt. Some say why pay them, when i can count my own points. Well for me its just the idea of having to pay when i go in and i am going to get my moneys worth. Plus i have very nice ladys in the one i go to. I have never been to any of the meetings, i just weigh and go. Its been over a year now. I started at 309 and i am 195, I have lost(. 114 pounds), i feel and look like a new person, need to lost about 45 more. And i dont care how much it has cost me, because i have finaily found the way to take these pounds off, and i have spent money on other ways, so you see, this is the very best investment that you can get, whats $11.00 dollars aweek, most people spend that much on junk food, Or one trip to BK< OR MC A DEES,Taco Bell,. Any way just wanted to let you all know , stick with it and you wont be sorry, and go to weigh in every week, and say to your self, that i can do this and i will have result to show for this money that i am spending. I would be glad to be your support to lean on, sometimes i need a leaning post too !! LOTake care LINDA

TEXT Hi, I joined WW about 4 weeks ago. I need to lose 75lbs. Our group meets once a week on the job. But I could use all the help I can get. I have a problem getting all my points daily. I forget to eat the breadfast I brought to work and may work past my lunch hour or have to make runs during my lunch hour and i may hit or miss with dinner. Than what do I do? Grab a $1.49 bag of Lays or Wise.

I attended weight watchers for 6 months and lost 30 lbs. Now that I've gained 7 lbs back over the holiday months I'm ready to return. I did however reach my goal weight and am a lifetime member so fortunately for me I don't have to pay. So don't give up try try again and remember water, water, water! Trust me it helps. Feel free to email me. I'll be back to counting my points soon so I'll be looking for a buddy tooooooooo!
