1 lb. ground sausage 1/2 cup flour 3 cups milk oil salt and pepper
Cook the sausage until done over a medium heat. Remove from skillet and set aside. Drain off the drippings and add enough oil to make half a cup. Add the oil and the flour to the skillet and cook over a medium high heat until browned. Reduce the heat and add the milk, salt and pepper, and cook until bubbly. Stir well to prevent lumps. Add the sausage to the gravy and cook a couple of minutes more. Serve over toast or biscuits.
