Breadmachine Sour Cream & Vanilla Bread
Almost like a pound cake, this bread machine sensation is light, golden and irresistible! ;D
½ cup water 1 tbsp vanilla 1/3 cup sour cream 1 egg 1 tbsp butter, softened 3 cups Gold Medal Better for Bread Bread Flour 3 tbsp sugar 1 ¼ tsp salt 2 tsp bread machine or quick active dry yeast Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use Light crust color. Do not use delay cycle. Remove baked bread from pan, and cool on wire rack.
I have not tried this recipe yet but will this week.....I always check the dough as it is mixing....if too dry add 1 teaspoon of liquid and let it mix....if still to dry add more. I turn the machine off and start it again if I add ingredients at the first kneading.

Just to let you know I have not made this yet....been running back and forth to my daughter's .. she has a new baby and I have not had time for much at home....will definitely make it this week....get back to you. I always bake my own bread and this is one I will take to Nuns this weekend coming up. If I just baked it in machine would be no problem....I like to make the dough in the machine and bake it in bread pan or freeform on a cookie sheet, which I really like the best.

;D Hi! I made this bread just yesterday. Also made it one other time and everyone loved it! The dough is very wet, too, so just to forewarn you! I let the breadmaker take it to the 2nd rising and then stop the breadmaker and put the dough in bread pans to bake. That way you don't have to dig the paddle out of your lovely bread loaf! This bread is out of this world! You could almost drizzle some vanilla glaze over top and use as a pound cake!

By the way, I had a slice of the bread last night for dessert. I buttered one side and warmed it up in the microwave and then drizzled honey on it. YUMMMMM!!!!!!
