Old Fashioned Egg Custard Pie
1 cup granulated sugar 1-1/2 tablespoons flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 4 egg yolks 2 egg whites 1 cup milk 2 tablespoons butter melted 2 egg whites 2 tablespoons sugar
Combine sugar, flour, salt and nutmeg. Beat 4 egg yolks and 2 egg whites. Add to dry ingredients. Beat well then add milk gradually and stir in melted butter. Pour in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes. Beat 2 egg whites with sugar. Spread over pie. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes.
