Banana Bread Pudding with Chocolate Sauce
1/4 cup butter 3 eggs 2 cups milk 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp salt 2 medium bananas sliced ¼" thick (1 cup) 4 cups cubed french bread (1" cubes) chocolate icecream topping, such as hershey's
Heat oven to 350*F. Melt butter in a 2 QT casserole. Stir in bread cubes. Beat eggs with milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Stir in bananas. Pour over bread. Stir to coat. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean. To serve spoon chocolate topping over each serving. Serves 6.
