???I want to do chocolate dipped spoons for my sister's bridal shower and my sister in law's baby shower. I was going to do the regular spoons with dark and white chocolate but I saw an add on the internet for chocolate truffle spoons. The ad said they were dipped in truffle and then dipped in a chocolate coating and they appeared to be dusted with cocoa powder. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone had the recipe or could figure it out. I'm candy making challenged...Thanks so much! I just know my sister and sister in law would just love these and be so surprised!

Hello and welcome Meggiesmommy! Here is what you were asking for. You could dust them with cocoa powder also. You could use any flavor of chips you want!!!! This is very simple!!!!! Chocolate Spoons These chocolate-covered spoons make delightful holiday gifts. They are so wonderful to have at home, too. Use them to stir a little chocolate into your coffee, or strengthen your hot chocolate. You will need 20 to 24 plastic spoons for this recipe. Makes 20 to 24 spoons (24 servings). Printed from Allrecipes, Submitted by Michele Streicher 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips Directions: 1 In a microwave safe bowl, melt semisweet chocolate pieces in microwave for 2 to 3 minutes and stir until smooth. Dip spoons into chocolate. Put spoons onto wax paper and refrigerate until chocolate hardens. 2 Melt milk chocolate pieces in microwave for 2 to 3 minutes and stir until smooth. Place chocolate into plastic bag and cut off a corner. Drizzle melted chocolate over spoons. Refrigerate until chocolate hardens. 3 Wrap each spoon separately and store in a cool dry place. I also received a few once that a co-worker had made that were cookies shaped like spoons dipped in the melted chocolate. This way you could "eat" your spoon while you stir your coffee, cocoa or whatever! No waste and what fun!!!!!
