This chocolate cake is very solid and moist (very filling). I always order this one from my mom on special occasions. Enjoy!!!
My mother has been using this recipe for as long as I can remember. This is a delicious solid chocolate cake. She always frosts it with a butter cream frosting. I don't have the recipe for the frosting because we just dump the butter, powdered sugar and milk together until it's creamy enough to spread. We sometimes add vanilla or maple flavoring.
3 c. flour 2 c. sugar 6 TBS cocoa 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt Mix together and set aside
2 TBS vinegar 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. hot water Melt 1/2 c. plus 1 TBS butter
Combine with first mixture. Pour into 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Also makes 28 cupcakes.
