I have some questions about measurment on JELLO Recipes. It seems they often use Cup for measurment, how much is a cup in ml ?

1 cup is 250 ml. I have a 2 c. measuring cup that includes ml, ounces, pints and cups. Hope this answers your question!!!!

And i was wondering , why do we need to mix it with a cold water, when we can just mix the gelatin and put it in the Freezer ?

You are very welcome! As to your other question - I just don't know! That's what the instructions on the Jell-O boxes have always said! I have just followed the instructions! You could always substitute fruit juice of some kind in place of the cold water or 7-Up or gingerale, too! Anyone else have any ideas why we are instructed to use hot water AND cold water in Jell-O?

thats ok if we didnt know, but the 7-up idea is a good idea . Whats the prefered ratio of 7-up to the Jello , might you good guys suggested ?

Hi everyone.I think the reason you use hot water is to dissolve the powder before you had the cold water. Don't think the cold water would do it. Just my thought on that. Have a good evening Jay

Duh on me! You are right Jay! About the hot water, I mean. As for the 7-Up, use the same amount as you would cold water. Gives it a sparkley flavor! Club Soda would work, too. I have used that in the sparkling Jell-O.

Well, iman, my name is Chris and I live in New Mexico! Southern, that is! I love to cook, bake, etc., and love to search out recipes to help others! I also love to try out new ones, much to my hubby's displeasure at times! LOL ;D
