Hello all!
Just wonderin' if any of you out there wanted to share and "have" a "birthday party" for all of us? We could share birthday cake recipes in the cake section, etc. Or, if not that, how about decorating in this section? Any other ideas? This could be fun!
Thanks, Robyn, for the idea with your cookie "get-together"!
Chris ;D
PS My birthday is Dec. 25th! no lie, either!

;D Hey Chris!, Sounds like fun to me! My birthday just passed, Jan. 11th, so no more special cake for me for another year! But, mine was a strawberry whip cream cake which is my absolute favorite of ALL cakes! They don't have to ask me anymore what kind I would like. I love balloon bouquets with colorful metallic streamers, to add the sparkle to set off the whole look. So I will bring the balloon bouquets to this cyber party! Well, at least having a birthday at Christmas means the kids won't forget your special day! Let me know when it is going to be! I'm still making myself sample wines to know which one I really like the best! Always My Best, Baking Bud

Hi Baking Bud, Well, I thought that maybe we should have this cyber party around Ground Hog's Day or St. Patty's Day. That would give us some time to "plan"!? My favorite of all is not a cake, but a Marie Callender's Razzleberry Pie! Yummy!!!!!! I love it!!!!!! However, for a cake, my favorite of all time is a flourless chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and raspberry sauce on top of all. That is so decadent and wonderful! I will share that at our "party"! I do love roses, too. My husband always gets me red roses. Once he got me a beautiful Double Delight one. Oh my!!!! That is beautiful! It almost looks like a Peace Rose. So pretty and smells so nice! LOL hehehe How do you feel sampling all those wines? Kinda out of it some? Take care young lady! ;D How about the rest of you? Chris

Chris, That sounds like fun! You know you can count me in. My bday is coming up. Feb 17. I love Maria Callendar's Razzelberry pie too! Our favorite for bdays is DQ icecream cake. It has to be DQ no other one compares. I always like to put streamers in my kids bedroom doorway. I also started this thing with my daughter where I send her a rose for each year. That is starting to get expensive! I might have to change and just do "pretty' flowers. Let's see, if I have to make something I would probably make a recipe out of my Chocolate Cake Mix Doctor Cookbook. Ever So Moist Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting. HMM Yummy. I'll post it in the cake section when I get a chance. ~~Robyn PS. I'd love a great punch recipe to bring to the party!! Anyone have one?

Hey You Two Who Are GRAPHICALLY describing such wonderful cakes! Atkins woman here right now, and DYING over your descriptions! That is the one part of this form of a diet that KILLS ME. I LOVE SUGAR!!!!! I did try out a recipe for a low fat/high fiber cake the other night for my son who is trying to eat healthier, and as a GOOD MOTHER I had to sample it. Yes, with whip cream on it to make it an honest test. ;D I HAD to do it for him, because he is so picky. If it would have been bad, then I never would have forced it on him! Weird cake too > angel food 1 step cake mix, 1- 15 oz. can of pumpkin, 1 cup of water, and 1 tbsp each of pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Made in a 9X13 inch pan, sprayed with PAM, and baked at 350 for 30-35 minutes. (Oh, and this is not a recipe , I am just sharing 'how weird' this cake was, and to appreciate that you must see what goes into it!) Comes out 'thin' but really tasty, almost like pumpkin bread. And with whip cream on it, almost like pumpkin pie! All loved it, including my hubby, so a 'healthier' treat for them to eat. Saw another person mention to use a chocolate or devils food cake mix, 1/2 cup of water, and 1 -15 oz. can of pumpkin as another cake to make. Same baking instructions as the first! Hopefully by St. Paddy's day I will be done with doing Atkin's and can enjoy the SUGAR, I mean various cakes and dishes, that we all will bring! Guess you can color my balloon bouquets green and silver to 'highlight' that special day! And yes Chris, my search for my 'perfect wine' will go on until I find it! I know it is out there! Just sign me, Baking Bud who is trying to pretend I do not want sugar at all > well except for my 3 little stinking packets of splenda I am allowed everyday. One is in my caffeine free tea right now, trying to make believe that my mandarin orange spice blend is fully loaded with caffeine! I'm not having fun .

Hi Chris!, Yes, I take Atkins one day at a time. Right now I am still swallowing pills. That is my first course of the day! After this, I won't get hungry for quite awhile. I really don't mind doing Atkins, except it sure would be easier if I didn't have to see anyone elses food. Son came home with some hot dogs yesterday with EVERYTHING on them, and I 'almost' gave in to temptation. The smell drove me CRAZY . But I held my ground and RAN OFF to feed the cats and do other jobs around the house. It STILL smells like onions out in the kitchen from those hot dogs! Yep, just one day at a time. Tomorrow is another venture, and today is my goal right now. It works. And I do not feel hungry at all on this plan. Deprived YES. Hungry, no. Reminds me, have to order more low carb pasta today. At least Atkins has noted peoples needs and for the right price $$$ it can be yours!!! Take care and there had better be REAL FOOD at this party too! I expect to be entertained in style by St. Paddy's day, so lets be thinking of GOOD FOOD to go with all of the GREAT CAKES! Now that I think about it, great appetizers after Atkins would probably be all that I need. A little taste of ALL OF THE FORBIDDENS! Sign me up please! Always With My Best, Baking Bud

Nancy Wrote: I would like an Atkin's diet that allows chocolate on Valentine's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter, LOL. Nancy Hi Nancy!, Well, if you go to the atkins site www.atkinscenter.com, your wish is in their ordering book. For a small $$ price $$ you can order: Chocolate Pudding > 1 bag, 15 servings > $12.99 Chocolate Atkins Dessert cake roll > $12.99 Chocolate Swirl mini cheescake >1- 1.5 lb > $15.00 Chocolate soft serve ice cream mix> 3 pk, each yields 10-1/2 cup servings > $9.99 Frozen Fudge Bar Mix, soy free, makes 18 bars > $11.99 Fudge Brownie Mix > one 12 oz. box > $7.69 30 Chocolate Meringue sweet treats > $4.99 *And two whole pages of assorted chocolate candies, chocolate covered nut clusters, chocolate covered peanut butter cups, or the Endulge chocolate candy bars WOW. Wish I could buy it all, but I'd hate to see my bill when I was done! That dessert cake roll sure looks good! As it is I get the pastas and the pancake mix. Might include 'one' goodie this time, if I am good this week. So far, have not been! Take a look at ALL of the chocolate, and let me know what you think! Always With My Best, Baking Bud

Well, do we have anyone else who is "coming" to our cyber birthday party? I see no one has said they are coming since Valentine's Day! The cake recipe I was going to post was already on the section - at least one so very similar - so I didn't post mine. Now, as Baking Bud asked, is anyone bringing real food, other than desserts? Chris
