I need a recipe for a dessert that has crackers for the crust and has chocolate chips on top of it. Does anyone have a recipe for this?

I also need a recipe for a desert.
My mother and son are coming for supper Sunday, and I would like a light desert that would knock their socks off.
Any ideas? I would like for it to be an easy desert. Am I asking too much?
Help if you can

Hi Linda, I'm not sure if this is the recipe you might be looking for. This recipe was posted by Diane to the clipping-cooking@food-lists.com newsletter. Permission is granted for reposting provided proper credit is given. Mar. 26, 01:31 EDT Score with Just-Like-Skor Bars Norma Bidwell The Hamilton Spectator Q: I have heard there is a recipe going around for something made with salted crackers that tastes a lot like Skor chocolate bars. Could you please track down this recipe for me? A: A teenage reader shared this recipe with me ages ago so I had only to look as far as my personal recipe book. Not quite the real thing but close enough to be worth trying. @@@@@ Just-Like-Skor Bars Makes 1 cookie sheet 1 cup butter (don't substitute) 1 sleeve salted crackers 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet OR milk-chocolate chips Line an edged cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place the crackers in a single layer, salted side up. Melt butter and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved. Pour hot mixture evenly over crackers and bake in preheated 350 F oven for 13 minutes. Melt the chocolate over hot water and as soon as the crackers come out of the oven pour it over and spread evenly. Score into bars or squares while chocolate is still hot. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, peel off foil and break into bars. Note: Norma Bidwell is a veteran food writer and author.
