Growing up we didn't really have any Easter *must do's or traditions to adhere to, apart from attending church that morning it was always waking to find our booty on a table beside our bed and a roast lamb lunch. As my daughter grew up and was old enough to understand we had egg hunts, powdery footprints on the floor and the like. Now she has three little ones of her own she does the same and then they arrive at our house for another egg hunt, with baskets woven from twigs and leaves and soft branches. But this year I thought I'd go one step further and have a special dinner which we haven't done in the past as the kids are worn out by evening and lunch is a waste of time as they have filled up on chocolate. So I set about planning a menu and inviting a few fabulous friends to share with us all then shock horror discover my hubby works that day and he doesn't get home until late BUT not to be outdone I've decided we shall celebrate St George's Day on the 23 April instead tho I have no idea who he is it will be fun finding out won't it LOL But it's all worked out rather well as I was a day late getting the Amish Friendship Bread Starter on the go, which will replace hot cross buns and I've just read the Easter Strawberry Marshmallow Supreme recipe and that's definitely the dessert! All systems are go so far What are others doing? have a great day

hehehe Homemade!
Well, my Dad is coming down today and will be here over Easter. This year, we are doing things a tad different! Instead of ham, we are roasting a turkey! We have had one in the freezer so will fix that with baked sweet potatoes (not candied) and a vegetable of some sort.
Take care!!!!
