Dear Nancy, Do any of your readers know whether or not a NON-ELECTRIC Corning Ware percolator can be used on an open flame, such as a gas burner? I checked the Corning Ware site, but they do not give an email address. I assume since their ovenware can be used on the stove top, the same holds true for the percolator, but I would like to be certain. Any help your readers can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Bonnie in PA

Yes Bonnie, a Corning Ware percolater can be used on a gas burner as well as on electric stoves. You will have no trouble with this wonderful cookware. I would recommend using it on the the smallest eye of your stove or turn the burner down so the flames will not be 'licking' up the sides of the pot so as to not damage the handle.

Yes, the non-electric corning ware coffee pot can be used on an open flame or on an electric stove, but the company probably won't say so. When they quit making them, there was a problem with a few of them breaking on the stove. I have used several of them over the years and never had a problem, but be aware that this could happen.
