Saw an interesting idea on another bb... Member reminded others that you can make ice cubes out of other ingredients and make your chosen drinks better: Suggestions to add to make your 'special cubes' were ice tray made out of: 1) brewed tea > then put in your ice tea to prevent that watered down taste from regular water ice cubes. 2) coffee > again use to cool down coffee and prevent a watered down taste. 3) juices/punch 4) and any non carbonated other ideas you can think of! Love to hear other neat ideas like this! Always My Best, Baking Bud

oh yes when ever we have a Bbq I make Ice cubs using tea. I did learn that Making Ice cubs out of coke did not work to well. the Ice cubs make the coke go flat much quicker and was Yak but the kids seem to enjoy eating the coke Ice cubs.

Hi April!, Yes, it did mention NOT to use any carbonated liquids to make into ice cubes like soda. The freezing makes all of those go flat . Broths would be another good ice cube candidate. I think for those I would only use the canned stuff, and first let the fat rise up by putting the can in the refrigerator. Saw another hint awhile back that sounded reasonable too. It said to not throw away any leftovers veggies. Instead keep a container in your freezer with a lid, and ADD throughout the week, ie. 1/3 of a leftover cup of corn here, 1/4 of some green beans there. Then use them at the end of the week to make a stew, soup, or some other casserole. Always With My Best, Baking Bud

Cool Ideal I save my left over vegetable and purée them in the blender than add wheat flour enough to form a dough, and keep from sticking to the counter top. I roll it out thin but not to thin. Like pie crust. Then cut them using an old tomato past can. then I bake them at 375 until crispy but not burnt. My doggies have a cheap but healthy and tasty snack and I can control their diet and Watch the salt sugar etc. This is what I have being doing with all of my leftovers Also at times use baby food With the baby food: 2 c. wheat flour 1- 6 oz. jar of baby food Form a dough. Sprinkle a little wheat flour on the counter top to help keep from sticking to the counter top. I roll it out thin but not to thin. Again like pie crust. Then cut them using an old tomato past can. or you can use a cookie cutter. Then I bake them at 375 until crispy but not burnt. Oh They will brown just a little. I tap on them while they are in the oven to feel if they are crispy yet.

If you have any sort of leftover of wine, red or white throw it in the freezer and use it some otherday in a sauce. Works great
