Turkey cooking and defrosting tip Thanksgiving is Thursday and it's time to start thinking about the bird. If your turkey is still in the freezer you might want to take it out and let it start to thaw.
A turkey is supposed to thaw for one day for every four pounds that it weighs.
If your turkey is still rock hard, soak it in cold water in the fridge and never at room temperature.
Cook to at least 180-degrees and chill the leftovers soon after dinner.
