Peel, core and slice 5 or 6 apples in 1/2" crescents. Saute in lots of butter, add sprinkling of brown sugar, cinnamon and a little lemon juice and cook till barely tender and brown sugar has dissolved. Transfer to buttered baking dish or pie plate, add topping and bake at 360 until topping is brown and crisp. Serve with half 'n half cream or ice cream.
Topping
1/2 cup flour 1/3 cup oats 1 T brown sugar 3 T melted butter Add flour, oats and sugar to butter in small bowl and mix together. Pour butter over and toss until all is moist. Add chopt pecans and raisins for something special.
