1 cup flour 1 & 1/2 tsps. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1/2 TO 3/4 cup milk 1 tbsp. margarine, melted 1 tbsp. sugar 1& 1/2 cups tart apples, peeled and diced Sift dry ingredients together. Combine remaining ingredients and add to dry mixture using enough milk to form consistency of a drop batter. Fry in deep fat (365-375°) until done (about 5 min.). Could be sprinkled with powdered sugar or sugar and cinnamon.
