Ready for a change of pace for breakfast? These yummy sandwiches may just do the trick!
2 English muffins, split, toasted 2 teaspoons (10 ml) prepared mustard 4 oz (112 g) (4 slices) Canadian bacon 1 apple, thinly sliced into rings 4 oz (112 g) (4 slices) Swiss cheese
Heat oven to 350 F (180 C). Spread each muffin half with 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) mustard; top each with 1/4 of the Canadian bacon, apple and cheese. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F (180 C) for 5 to 6 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Makes 4 sandwiches.
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Prepare English muffins as directed above except do not add cheese. Place on microwave-safe plate lined with paper towel. Microwave on HIGH for 45 to 60 seconds; top each with cheese slice. Microwave on HIGH for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until cheese is hot and bubbly, rotating plate 1/2 turn halfway through cooking.
