So why didn't I think to check this board before? A friend gave me some halibut a couple days ago, and I wasn't sure exactly what to do with it. This was so good. Now I'm hoping for some more halibut! Sue9847

Hello and welcome! Unfortunately, we had some problems with the message board last fall and several recipes disappeared. I am afraid this was one of them. Sorry!

Most of the Halibut that we have here in Scotland is frozen and originates in Alaska. I've never tasted fresh halibut. You could also substitute Haddock for the Halibut.
Lemon Garlic Baked Halibut Preheat oven to 180oC/350oF Serves 2
2 halibut fillets Juice of 1 lemon 2 cloves garlic 1 Tbsp virgin olive oil 1 tsp butter (optional) Salt, pepper
Crush or mince garlic. Rub fish with garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil, place a small piece of butter on each fillet. Bake until fish is no longer pink and flakes easily with a fork, about 8 to 10 minutes.
