For faces:
With a cookie cutter, cut slices of whole wheat and white bread into circles, about 2 12/ inches in diameter. Butter the bread circles, and spread a filling between each of the two.
To make the face, pipe cream cheese around the top of the circle, and sprinkle small grated carrot over the cream cheese to simulate hair.
Use strips of raisins for eyebrows and nose, diamond shaped green pepper for eyes, and pimento cut in half-moon shape for the mouth.
For clowns:
Fram a slice of whole wheat bread, cut a round clowns head with a cone shaped hat on one side. butter and spread with filling.
Place a circle of white bread over the filling for the face, and a whole wheat triangle for over the hat.
Trim the hat and hair sections of the clown face with cream cheese. Sprinkle the "cheese hair" with coconut that has been tinted green, with food coloring.
Cut round eyes from black olives, a half-moon shaped mouth with a pimento, and tiny triangles of pimento for cheeks.
For sailboats:
Cut a slice of whole wheat bread into the shape of a sailboat, butter and spread with filling.
Cut 2 sails for each boat, from white bread, and place them on the whole wheat bread, leaving a narrow strip of whole wheat showing between the sails for the mast.
Cut the hull of the boat from whole wheat bread and place it over the filling. Cut a flag of pimento , and place it at the top of the mast.
To simulate portholes and waves, pipe on cream cheese , on the lower part of the hull.
For added interest and color, coconut that has been tinted green, with food coloring may be placed on the cream cheese waves. (Or perhaps small pieces of a mild pepperoncini pepper.)
Humpty-Dumpty:
From a slice of whole wheat bread, cut an egg shaped piece, attached at bottom end to a small rectangle of bread. Spread the egg shaped section with filling, and cover with egg-shaped piece cut from white bread.
Decorate Humpty-Dumpty egg face with diamond shaped cucumber peel for eyes, a strip of raisin for the nose, pimento cut in half-moon shape fpr the mouth, and a strip of pimento for the belt.
To simulate the wall on which egg is sitting, pipe cream cheese across the rectangular section of bread, repersenting the morter between the bricks of a wall. Pipe cream cheese on the wall to represent Humpty's legs.
