Party Mix On a low-sodium diet? You need not miss out on party mix now! 1/2 cup margarine 1 tsp. garlic powder 2 cups unsalted pretzels 2 cups puffed rice 2 cups spoon-size shredded wheat 2 cups unsalted peanuts Melt margarine in skillet or wok. Add garlic powder. Stir well. Add remaining ingredients and toss together. Serve warm. Makes 2 quarts. HINT: Vary the cereals choosing which are salt free. Walnuts, pecans or a mixture of nuts may be used in place of peanuts. One cup raisins may also be added, but if you add raisins, omit the garlic powder. Variation: 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/8 tsp. liquid red pepper sauce 1/2 cup margarine Cook seasonings 2 minutes in the margarine.
