Homemade Macaroni and Cheese
3 cups uncooked macaroni 1/4 cup butter 1 Tbsp. flour 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup light cream 2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 1 cup Fontina cheese, shredded
Cook macaroni in boiling water until just tender, usually 5 - 7 minutes and set aside. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper, add cream and cheese and continue to stir until cheese is melted. Stir in noodles and serve immediately.
The Skinny: Use low fat cheeses and fat free Half and Half in place of the cream.
