To give, place mix in decorative storage containers or tins. Empty oatmeal boxes decorated with holiday wrapping paper make perfect storage containers for dry mixes as well as cookies.
3 Cups / 750 ml Toasted Oat Cereal Rings 3 Cups / 750 ml Bite-Size Crisp Wheat Square Cereal 2 Cups / 500 ml Salted Peanuts 2 Cups / 500 ml Mini-Pretzel Twists 1 Cup / 250 ml Raisins 1/2 Cup / 125 ml Butter or Margarine, melted 1/2 Cup / 125 ml Powdered Sugar 2 to 4 Tbsp. / 30 to 60 ml Baking Cocoa 1 teas. / 5 ml Cinnamon
Preheat oven to 250F/120C. In large bowl, combine cereals, peanuts, pretzels and raisins. In small bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, Cocoa and Cinnamon. Mix well and stir into cereal mixture. Toss lightly until well coated. Pour mixture into 13 x 9 inch / 33 x 23 cm baking dish. Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely. Store in airtight container. (Makes 11 cups / 2.75 L; 1/2 cup / 125 ml per serving).
