2 cups sugar 1 tablespoon white Karo syrup 2/3 cup half and half 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla Red food coloring (or blue or green)
Cook until firm ball (230 degrees.) Pour slowly over 6 quarts popped corn, stirring so as to coat all kernels. pour out on table to cool.
(This coating so sugary as it cools and drys. I like doing several times in different colors and mixing together. Remember to clean your pop corn by pour in on newspaper and only use the full size kernels the rest is picking for the kids and birds. A 6 or 8 quart pressure cooker makes a great popcorn popper)
