Welcome GrannyBJ!!!!! If you scroll down a little bit you will see the following: "Free Cookbooks Download and share with your friends. Requires a computer and Adobe Reader 5.0 installed to view the pdf recipes files. Download one or all of them. Share them with your friends." You do need to down load Adobe Reader 5.0 (it's a free download) before you can download the cookbooks. Go to www.adobe.com to download the software! I got the 2.1 version and then you get a suggestion to upgrade to the 5.0 version. Just take the free version. Hope this helps! Oh - you may be able to download Adobe Reader when you click on the book you want to view. I am not sure. Does anyone else know? I have always had this so I am not sure. Chris

Hi Granny BJ
Oh - after you download the free-ware, you will need to go to the file to which it downloaded. Open that file. You will find the setup icon. Double-click on that and it will guide you through the setup and loading. Then you can use the software. Sorry, I should have followed through with the instructions.
Good luck! Let us know how this works!!!!
Chris

Chris, I have the adobe 5 installed. My problem is when I click on a free cookbook the screen goes to a blank screen. There is no choice as to where to download the file. There is nothing. Will you please go and try to download one of the free cookbooks and then tell me what happens step by step. Thank you so much for your help. Granny

I had a similar problem on my computer at work. I uninstalled Adobe Reader 5.0 and then reinstalled it. It now works. It had something to do with the way it associated the extension with the program.
Without reinstalling it ... It should work if you right click and frist download it to your computer. Open up Adobe Reader go to the open command the file and it works. Nancy
