Hi Alexa,
Welcome to Nancy's Kitchen Message Board! I went to the section you mentioned, but did not find a five can casserole recipe. I saw one - titled Burrito Casserole - and it's instructions were limited. However, I didn't see one that called for chow mein noodles. Was the recipe in question on Annie's Kitchen site? That's where I went. Just a little more info, please, and perhaps I can help you better!!!

Here is the recipe: www.anniesrecipes.com/Kitchen/hamburger.htm5 CAN CASSEROLE 2 lbs. hamburger 1 med. onion 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 can cream of celery soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can chicken with rice soup 1 can mixed vegetables 1 pkg. chow mein noodles Put half noodles in casserole and the other half on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Most other versions of this recipe call for a canned meat product, such as chicken, turkey or tuna. Therefore, I would chop the onion and cook it with the ground beef. Drain the fat. Mix with all except the chow mein noodles before placing in casserole. You may want to check for doneness in 30 minutes. The chow mein noodles are a crisp topping that is used in a manner similar to canned fried onion rings. Add them to the casserole just before placing the casserole in the oven to prevent sogginess. Here is another version to help as a guideline: recipe-fish-seafood.com/55/290979.shtmlTitle: 5 Can Casserole 1 can (6 1/2 oz) tuna in water; drained 1 sm peas, canned; drained 1 cn cream of mushroom soup 1 cn cream of chicken soup 16 oz chow mein noodles Combine tuna, peas, soups. Top with noodles or potato chips! Bake 1/2 hour, 350 degree oven. Add noodles to casserole just before placing in oven or they will be soggy!! Chicken or any cooked meat or seafood can be used in place of the tuna. Hope this helps, Alexa. -Shortcake
