ROAST VENISON ala CROCKPOT
2 lb. venison 2 Tbs flour 1 Tbs oil ½ tsp. garlic powder 1 large onion, sliced 2 Tbs brown sugar 1 tsp mustard 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce ¼ cup lemon juice 16 oz can no added salt tomatoes
Marinade: ½ cup vinegar ½ tsp garlic powder 2 Tbs salt Cold water to cover meat
Mix vinegar, garlic powder, and salt together. Place meat in a deep flat pan. Pour cold water over meat and add vinegar mixture. Marinate overnight. Remove from marinade and drain well. Roll meat in flour and brown in 1 Tb. vegetable oil in a skillet. Transfer browned meat to the crockpot. Add all remaining ingredients and cook on low for 8 hours.
This makes an excellent leftover and makes eight 4-oz. servings
