Budget Beef Stroganoff Mar 1, 2006 20:28:11 GMT -6 Quote Select PostDeselect PostLink to PostMemberGive GiftBack to Top Post by julian1964 on Mar 1, 2006 20:28:11 GMT -6 Budget Beef Stroganoff1 1/2 pounds round steak1 teaspoon salt1/8 teaspoon pepper1 onion sliced1/4 teaspoon garlic salt1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce1 1/2 cups beef bouillon1 tablespoon catsup2 tablespoon dry white wine1/4 pound fresh mushrooms sliced1/3 cup flour1 cup dairy sour creamCut steak into 1/4-ince strips. Coat with salt and pepper. Drop into bottom of slow cooking pot with onion.Mix garlic, salt, worcestershire sauce, bouillon and catsup. Pour over meat.Cover and cool on LOW for 6-8 hours or until tender.Turn control to HIGH. Add wine, mushrooms, and flour to meat mixture, stirring until blended.Cook on HIGH for 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.Stir in sour cream: turn off heat. Serve with rice or buttered hot noodles.
