6 cups red cabbage sliced 2 tablespoons butter 2 cups peeled and cored granny smith apples 1/4 cup sliced shallots 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds 4 tablespoons sugar 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 1/3 teaspoon salt pinch of pepper
Heat a large sauté pan over a medium flame. Add butter and shallots and sauté for 1 minute. Add red cabbage and diced apples and continue to sauté for another 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and cook for another 5 minutes.
