Hello and welcome Jainey!
Well, it sounds like the meat will be the only thing "fondued", right? In any case, depending on the meat used in the fondue oil, you could take most any vegetable that is cooked! I would take my favorite veggie, which would be asparagus fixed someway; steamed or in a casserole!
You might want to call your friend to see if the veggies are to be "fondued" also, though, before you decide.
It sounds like you will have a great time! Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. Having never been to a fondue just had no idea what might be expected. I have a really good and simple casserole with green beans steamed and oil vinegar onion and grlic added. Then the topping is bread crumbs, p. cheese and butter. This topping is sprinkled on top and the whole thing baked for 15 min. Everyone likes that and its easy. I may also bring steamed carrots with dill. Thanks again. Janine
