2-4 c. pureed fruit such as applesauce, peaches or combination of fruits such as apples and raspberries Sugar, corn syrup or honey
Sweeten pureed fruit to taste. Remember than flavor becomes concentrated when dried. Line a jelly roll pan or baking sheet with plastic wrap. You may need to dampen sheet so the plastic sticks to it. Spread pureed fruit 1/4 inch thick evenly on sheet. Dry in a food dehydrator or oven set to 120-150 degrees about 12-24 hours. When the leather feels tacky it is ready to eat. If desired, peel plastic off back of leather and dry until that side is tacky. Leather may be cut into shapes with a sharp knife or cookie cutter. You can also wrap pieces of dried fruit with the sticky side of the leather. Vegetable leathers can be made in the same way. These can be eaten as a snack or reconstituted for tomato sauce or instant soup.

I use a similair recipe ,I use the applesauce (unsweetened ) and then I add a package of sugar free jello.I love the watermelon fruit roll ups. I use 2 cups of mixture per tray and flatten it with the back of a wooden spoon.\You can use any flavor I only use sugar free because I'm diabetic.
