Stuffed Mushrooms
1 pound large mushrooms 1/2 pound mild or hot Italian sausage 1 small onion, chopped fine 2 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Remove stems from mushrooms; finely chop 1/2 of them. Save remaining stems for another day. Place mushroom caps on cookie sheet. Saute stems, sausage, and onion in butter until sausage is brown. Drain fat. Add bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, and cheese. Stuff caps with mixture and bake at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes.
